Here are answers to our most frequently asked questions. If you have other questions, please call the Preschool at 403-335-8818. If we don't know the answer, we'll find out for you!

When do I bring my child to school?
Morning Classes: Class time is: 8:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. DROP OFF: not before 8:45 a.m.
Afternoon Classes: Class time is: 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. DROP OFF: not before 12:30 p.m. The teacher plans to be at the school 15 minutes before class begins and for up to 15 minutes after class.

Why are we required to fundraise?
Didsbury Preschool is a non-profit society, so we rely on fundraising for our basic operations. We receive funding from community grants and donations, but these do not cover all of our costs.

Fundraising is a very important aspect of the Preschool's Budget. In order to keep our monthly fees affordable for all families, yet maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for our children, the Preschool must generate revenue from other sources.

Why do I need to volunteer as a parent helper?
Provincial licensing requires we have an additional adult at the school during class time or we cannot keep the school open. We ask every parent to volunteer a few times a year as this additional adult. Educational Assistants and other professionals do not count as the extra adult.

The kids also really enjoy their "special day" and take great pride in showing their daily routine to their parents and showing off their parents to their friends.

Please read our Preschool Handbook for a complete list of the School Policies.
